NEW ENGLAND RECEPTIVE OPERATORS
Discover New England is the official regional
marketing alliance of the six New England states. The six states
include New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut
and Rhode Island. The main mission of this alliance is to increase
domestic and international travel & tourism so as to strengthen the
economic vitality of New England. Discover New England hosts an
Annual Tourism Summit and International Marketplace that rotates to
each state in a given year. This year, which happens to be their
15th annual event, took place in Newport Rhode Island.
DNE was a 3-day summit that ran from April 19-21,
2010. The Marketplace event does not only bring International Tour
Operators, Receptive Operators, Tourism industry leaders around the
region, and International Press but it also offers a cost-effective,
highly focused and productive business opportunities for New England
travel suppliers/buyers. Despite the challenges associated with the
Volcano that took place in Europe, the summit went well and was
productive.
