The Blackstone River, one of 14 American
Heritage Rivers, flows between Worcester, Massachusetts and
Providence Rhode Island. The John H. Chafee Blackstone River
Valley National Heritage Corridor tells the story of the
river's role in starting New England's textile industry and
the American Industrial Revolution.

Enjoy a hayride through the apple orchards, watch a cider
making demonstration, and receive two freshly picked apples

Blackstone Valley Visitor Center in Lincoln. If the weather

View a preserved section of the historic
Blackstone Canal that was once used for transportation.
Today a segment of the Blackstone River Bikeway run on top
of the old towpath and learn about the Blackstone Valley's
Transportation Stories.

Foliage Along The River |
Enjoy a Boat Cruise aboard the Blackstone
Valley Explorer. The river becomes a veritable carpet of
color as it mirrors the foliage lining the shore as you
cruise the second most powerful river in the nation. Learn
about the industrial history of this now quiet, urban river
whose waters were harnessed for waterpower at the dawn of
the 19th century sparking the American Industrial
Revolution.
