Fish Ladder Restoration Project by Michelle Fontaine  Returning migratory fish to the Blackstone River after 215 years - Guests of the event held in Cumberland, RI learned how the Blackstone River Watershed Council/Friends of the Blackstone, local businesses, state and other federal agencies, working in conjunction with the federal Natural Resource Conservation Service, are planning for the restoration of migratory fish on the Blackstone River. The short film "Fish Ladders along the Blackstone" was produced by Rhode Island's Triple M Productions and narrated by Dave Fallon, who will attend the premier. The presentation will also explain how work is being done with state and congressional leaders and how the restoration efforts can be supported through donations and in-kind support.  The evening was co-hosted by the Rhode Island Corporate Wetlands Restoration Partnership, the Blackstone River Watershed Council/Friends of the Blackstone and the John H. Chafee Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor Commission. Partners and friends of the restoration project will also be displaying their work and distributing literature.
