DISCOVER YOUR OWN HERITAGE THROUGH
ANCESTRY RESEARCH WORKSHOP ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2011
While the city of Pawtucket, RI is celebrating its
125th anniversary, the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council welcomes
area residents and visitors to discover their own personal heritage.
On Wednesday evening, October 26, 2011, from 7-8:30
pm, participate in Life in the Past Lane, a genealogy workshop being
held at the Blackstone Valley Visitor Center Theatre, 175 Main
Street, Pawtucket, RI.
Genealogy researcher Donna Hague Blinn will offer
participants ways they can find out their family history and
ancestry research. Learn how to use birth, marriage and death
records, locate census records, probate and land use documents,
military and naturalizations and more.
This interactive workshop will also feature
techniques using a variety of websites that are helpful in locating
your ancestors. Attendees are encouraged to bring their laptops,
family records and their questions for a fascinating look into your
past family ties.
This workshop is ideal for novices as well as
experienced researchers to gain extra insights into building their
family trees.
